On Tuesday, Red Bull New York II announced that it had signed 2026 MLS SuperDraft pick goalkeeper Tomas Hut to a one-year MLS Next Pro contract with an additional year's option for 2027.
Hut was selected by the Red Bulls with the 21st pick of the 2026 MLS SuperDraft. The Nutley, NJ native began his collegiate career with Army before transferring to Syracuse in 2023.
Hut spent three seasons with the Orange, playing in 37 matches and helped them to an NCAA tournament berth as captain in 2025, his graduate season. Totaling 54 appearances throughout his NCAA career, Hut was named to the All-ACC Third Team in 2025.
Additionally, Hut participated in the the Red Bulls' New York area development program, Regional Development Schools (RDS) before joining Match Fit Academy and Seton Hall Prep High School.
In a statement to media, RBNY II manager Dominik Wohlert said of Hut, "Tomas is a talented young goalkeeper that has excelled at the collegiate level. He has strong shot-stopping abilities and we look forward to integrating him with the team."
With Hut's signing official, RBNY will have as many as seven goalkeepers under contract between its first and second teams.
The Nutley, NJ native will join Austin Causey and first-team contracted goalkeepers Aidan Stokes and Tobias Szewczyk in the goalkeeping room for the Baby Bulls as they mount their title defense ahead of 2026.
On Tuesday, Thomasz Włodarczyk of Polish outlet Meczyki reported that KS Cracovia of the Polish Ekstraklasa is interested in RBNY striker Wiktor Bogacz as a potential replacement for the outgoing Filip Stojilkovic.
Bogacz, 21, joined RBNY from second-tier Polish side Miedź Legnica on a four-year U22 Initiative contract at the beginning of 2025. Bogacz is one of two U22 players for Red Bull New York, alongside Dennis Gjengaar.
New York had to beat out Serie A giants Juventus to ink the young Polish striker. However, despite the interest from top European clubs, Bogacz underwhelmed in his first season at Sports Illustrated Stadium.
In 24 first-team appearances in 2025, Bogacz scored one goal and assisted three. He also scored two goals in two appearances for RBNY II.
