On Tuesday, Red Bull New York announced that it had reached a partnership agreement with RWJBarnabas Health that the healthcare collective would hold the naming rights for the club's new training center in Morris Township, N.J. As part of the new partnership, RWJBarnabas Health will be the Official Hometown Healthcare System and EMS Provider of Sports Illustrated Stadium, Red Bull New York, Red Bull New York II, Red Bulls Youth Programs and Academy, and the Official Health and Wellness Provider of Red Bulls Youth Programs.
In a statement released to media, RBNY revealed that as "the largest and most comprehensive academic health system in the state of New Jersey", RWJBarnabas Health "will be prominent on all Red Bull New York’s training gear including tops, training jackets and specialty warmups throughout the season. In addition, RWJBarnabas Health will be the presenting partner of the Red Bulls Preseason, with a presence at all home matches at Sports Illustrated Stadium including activations on the club’s pre-match fanfest BULLevard."
On Tuesday morning, Red Bull New York announced it had finalized the trade of Daniel Edelman to St. Louis City S.C. After much speculation, the 22-year-old homegrown has been sent to the Western Conference club for the tune of $850,000 in total GAM, with $500,000 coming in 2026, an additional $200,000 in 2027 and $150,000 more if certain performance metrics are met. New York will also retain sell-on rights.
Debuting with RBNY's first team in 2022, Edelman made 118 appearances for the club across all competitions. His departure is a continuation of Head of Sport Julian de Guzman's revamp of the squad with new manager Michael Bradley taking charge this season. Edelman became the fifth player who was in the starting lineup for MLS Cup 2024 to leave New York this offseason (Carlos Coronel, Sean Nealis, Peter Stroud, Lewis Morgan). Only three players from that final's starting eleven remain with the club (Dylan Nealis, Noah Eile, Emil Forsberg).
