On Friday, Red Bull New York announced that it had re-signed veteran center back Tim Parker to a new one year contract with an option for 2027.
Parker, 32, will see his second stint in New York continue through at least 2026. The Hicksville, Long Island native has played more times for the Red Bulls than any other club in MLS, despite making career stops in Vancouver, Houston, St. Louis and New England.
Parker, once a key piece of one the best defenses in league history with RBNY in 2018, was originally signed at the begining of 2025 as a depth center half option, but eventually worked his way into the starting lineup after strong performances against Chivas and Juarez in Leagues Cup.
This move comes after fellow Long Island bred veteran center back Sean Nealis was traded to rival DC United on Thursday. Parker started in place of Nealis in six of the final seven matches of the 2025 MLS season.
